A Whiskey Leavins-style review of the last show.
Santa Cruz, California has, for the last few months, been harboring the greatest top-secret development since the Manhattan Project – and just about as explosive. Local burlesque troupe Lulu and the Lushes has been thrilling Santa Cruz audiences for a while now, mostly as part of the wildly popular Bourbon and Burlesque series at The Crepe Place. But now word is getting out and this bunch's high-energy mix of traditional burlesque and modern twists is catching some eyeballs. Headed up by Director Lulu L’amore and assistant director Beatease LeBoop, The Lushes are a diverse group of skillful dancers and, well, let’s face it exhibitionists. More than anything they're a good time. And lucky you, you can catch them at any of the next shows. Don't miss out.
